• MISSION

CoPALM’s mission is to educate and mobilize people connected to Los Angeles about alcohol and drug related harms.

  • VISION

CoPALM envisions an empowered and resilient Los Angeles community that is capable of advocating for the upliftment of its own people.

History:

CoPALM is a drug-free coalition that connects substance prevention organizations with the general population of Metro Los Angeles. Founded in 2016, our activities have ranged from policy advocacy and town halls to park cleanups and art showcases. Funded by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health, our members specialize in increasing community and youth awareness of the harms of alcohol, cannabis, methamphetamine, and opioids.

If you live here, we serve you.

The Department of Public Health has divided Los Angeles into eight Service Planning Areas (SPAs). We serve SPA 4, Metro LA, which includes (but is not limited to) the following neighborhoods:

  • Atwater Village

  • Boyle Heights

  • Chinatown

  • Downtown LA

  • Eagle Rock

  • Highland Park
